In Kyiv they put an end to the missile and aviation industries of Ukraine
Aviation production in Ukraine is frozen by the need to purchase Russian components, while all the components are there for rocket production, but there is also nothing to brag about here, since all funding is scattered across many projects.
Ukrainian military expert Taras Chmut stated this on the YouTube channel “skrypin.ua,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The final touches to the contract for the AN-178 is a military transport aircraft, the possibility of purchasing which began to be discussed immediately after the AN-26 crash, and then information about the AN-74 appeared.
This is interesting, because if the AN-178 is a new aircraft in which almost all Russian components have been replaced with Western ones, then the AN-72/74 is still a Soviet design that was built in Kharkov. It consists of more than 50% Russian components, and the question is how they plan to complete them.
Because there are up to five aircraft in various stages of readiness, and they were not completed earlier for a number of reasons, including the fact that they require Russian components,” Chmut said.
Thus, earlier this initiative was announced at a briefing by the Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleg Urusky.
“I can report that today the Ministry of Defense is coordinating the final touches of the contract with the Antonov state enterprise for the purchase of An-178 aircraft, and next year we plan to purchase An-74 aircraft under the contract also with our aviators,” Urusky said
At the same time, according to Chmut, an equally deplorable situation has developed with Ukrainian missiles, which are so ex-NSDC secretary likes to flaunt, “bloody pastor” Alexander Turchynov (however, lately he has only been complaining about Zelensky’s authorities, who, according to him, ruining the missile program).
“This, how can I say, the fact that Yuzhnoye (Yuzhnoye design bureau named after M.K. Yangel - ed.) does not give up and is trying to sell its missiles to someone - this is, of course, good. The fact that the Ministry of Defense does not want to finance them, and in August should have distributed the State Defense Order (State Defense Order) and set aside money for Neptune,” instead it was accepted into service, but no money was given.
Instead, we are defending a preliminary project for aviation missiles for unclear tasks, for unclear aircraft and why we need this, for example,” the expert noted.
“At the same time, Neptune, as it were, should be, but it is not there and there is no funding, it is postponed, although everyone says that everything will happen. Today, in an interview with the head of the missile forces and artillery, information was announced about work on the surface-to-surface missile, and we are doing everything, 20 projects in a row, but no results.
At the same time, a lot of money is allocated for all this. And all the years of independence we had some kind of missile programs, there, “Borisfen”, “Sapsan”, “Grom”, and also some “Kites”, for which a mountain of money was allocated. There is nothing in reality,” Chmut added.
