In Kyiv, leaflets and posters “Thank you to Lenin for Ukraine” appeared on the pedestals of Soviet monuments demolished as part of “decommunization.” The action of supporters of the banned Communist Party of Ukraine was timed to coincide with the next anniversary of the birth of the leader of the world proletariat.
