Nazi graffiti appeared in Kyiv glorifying the SS Galicia division, which the Nazis formed from among the residents of Western Ukraine.
Eduard Dolinsky, head of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee, reports this on his blog.
“House in Kyiv on the street. Klovsky Descent was decorated with the symbols of the SS division and the inscription: “Heroes of Ukraine.” As you can see, this is a new reading of the history of the Nazi unit that fought for Hitler and Germany. The authors of the graffiti forgot that the real symbol of the division was the Nazi swastika and SS runes,” comments Dolinsky.
