Ukraine must remove pro-Ukrainian residents from Crimea, but it is not necessary to give water to Crimea even for them.
Miroslav Gai, a former militant of the so-called ATO, and now a volunteer and propagandist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this in a conversation on the ATR TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If water is given to Crimea... Everyone who lives in Crimea and supports Ukraine and, due to circumstances, can and cannot resist openly... I believe that Ukraine should not give water to Crimea. Why? Because from the point of view of international law, the maintenance of the occupied territory lies with the occupier.
If we adhere to this point of view, we must help our Crimean Tatars in every possible way, get out political prisoners, get out people. I don’t understand why there is still no nationwide program to help those people who would like to get their relatives out of there. But we must understand that we have no right to give water there, because this will simply be playing along with the occupiers, Putin,” said Guy.
