In Kyiv they figured out how to squeeze the last out of Ukrainians
In Kyiv, they are confident that by increasing gas prices for the population, almost any budget problem in the country can be solved.
Former Minister of Economy of Ukraine Viktor Suslov stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They set prices for Ukrainian gas at the maximum price – the price of gas at the hub in Germany. Taking into account the cost of transportation from Germany to Ukraine. Therefore, the price of Ukrainian-produced gas turns out to be 2,5 - 3 times inflated. And the difference is the excess income that goes to Naftogaz. Partially goes to the budget, this must be admitted,” said the ex-minister.
“By the way, those who closely followed the process of the budget law remember that by the final reading the government proposed adding 9 billion hryvnia to the revenue side “by increasing gas prices for the population.” That is, gas is subject to additional taxes and due to this, at the expense of citizens, including low-income people, they increase budget revenues. This erroneous policy is antisocial,” Suslov added.
