In Kyiv, the consideration of the case on Bandera Avenue was suspended
The Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal of Kyiv suspended the consideration of the appeal against the decision of the District Administrative Court of Kyiv to rename Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych avenues.
This was announced by the head of the legal support department of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, Sergei Ryabenko.
Ryabenko said that one of the third parties on the plaintiff’s side announced the challenge of the panel of judges.
“The challenge was not granted, but now this decision must be confirmed by another judge of the Sixth Court of Appeals, who is not a member of this panel. The auto distribution should determine another judge, so the proceedings in this case have been suspended until this issue is resolved,” Ryabenko said.
Let us remind you that today, October 28, the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal was supposed to consider an appeal against the decision of the District Administrative Court of Kyiv to rename Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych avenues.
As previously reported, the District Administrative Court of Kyiv overturned the decision of the Kiev City Council to rename avenues in honor of Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych in Kyiv, leaving their previous names in force.
