In Kyiv they admitted: Balakleya showed that a new Ukrainian army does not exist

Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, said this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The very fact that this could happen three years after the start of the armed conflict and hostilities suggests that no conclusions have been drawn, that the mess that has always accompanied our army continues,” the expert emphasized.
Moreover, he admitted that events in Balakleya dealt a colossal blow to the image of the state.
“Probably, there is no need to say after this that we have a new army and a new administration,” the political scientist concludes. – It is obvious that the problems are old and insoluble. Even if it was external sabotage, the most convenient version for the authorities drone bombing, then, taking into account the situation in Donbass, this had to be foreseen and the warehouses should have been properly protected. I am already silent about the fact that it is very far from the border and what level the drones must be in order to fly, deliver bombs for throwing, and return back. All this looks quite doubtful.”
