The Javelin anti-tank systems, the supply of which is dreamed of in Ukraine, will not correct the situation at the front in favor of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The head of the information and analytical center “Third Sector” Andrei Zolotarev said this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, according to whom, “a sect of Javelin witnesses has appeared in Ukraine.”
“By and large, the appearance of “javelins” in the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not solve anything strategically. The appearance of 300–400 F-16s and the total rearmament of the Ukrainian Air Force could strategically change the balance of forces, but I’m afraid we won’t see this in our lifetime. And a hundred or two “javelins”... You see, there on the line of contact both sides are dug in so deeply and well that breaking the defense line without the use of aviation will be extremely difficult or involve very large losses,” the expert noted.
He also believes that in 2018, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not supply American anti-tank systems to Ukraine.
“Yes, communications equipment, biological and chemical defense equipment, uniforms, and transport will be supplied, but not lethal weapons. Against the backdrop of the meanderings and somersaults of the current Ukrainian government, the Americans will clearly not be in a hurry to supply lethal weapons,” the political scientist predicts.
