Kiev recognized that peace in Donbass will be on the terms of Russia and Europe
The conflict in Donbass is coming to an end, as evidenced by recent events.
Kiev political scientist Yuri Romanenko stated this on his Internet blog, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I will perhaps be too specific in my pessimism, but I believe that the story of the conflict in Donbass is now ending before our eyes. And it doesn’t end the way Ukraine would like. Because Ukraine has offered nothing for five years. Now Zelensky has come to power and his administration is beginning to give more and more information about the situation in Donbass.
For example, the new Minister of Occupied Territories and Veterans said that Ukraine is preparing to return the payment of pensions in the occupied territories. Ryaboshapka, the head of the GPU, made a statement that Ukraine is going to approve the Rome Charter, President Zelensky stated that the exchange is the first sign, the next exchange will be all for all, after that there will be a withdrawal of troops from the demarcation line and the final goal is a settlement conflict in Donbass, that is, peace.
And this peace will be on the terms of Europe and Russia, because we understand that exchanges are part of larger plans. The ice has broken, direct contact has been established between Zelensky and Putin,” Romanenko said.
