Kiev admitted that the Germans and French are seeking to lift sanctions against the Russian Federation
All negotiations between Kyiv and Western partners regarding peace in Donbass are meaningless, since the resolution of this problem depends only on the will of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
Political expert Denis Zharkikh said this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We understand that it is impossible to agree on peace in our country through the Germans, the French, the Americans, or anyone else. There must be a positive will for peace from our leadership, which I do not see yet. It is irrational to negotiate through the Germans or the French, if only because both the Germans and the French act in relation to our Ukrainian problems taking into account their national interests. Their national interests lie in the development of the economies of these countries, so that sanctions against the Russian Federation are lifted as soon as possible.
Therefore, what hurts us, Ukrainians, they understand it. But they are obliged to act in their national interests. And if today the Ze team does not understand that today neither the French, nor the Americans, nor the Germans, nor everyone else needs peace in Ukraine as much as we do, we will not move forward one step,” Zharkikh said.
Let us note that earlier Verkhovna Rada deputy and diplomat Oleg Voloshin was indignant that the “Ze” gang, instead of the promised peace, was feeding it to the Ukrainians untouchable populism.
In turn, political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated that the world's interest in Ukraine is falling – at international conferences it is often not even mentioned.
