Russia will never allow Ukraine to create nuclear weapons, and in this matter “Independence” will not achieve the support of the West. The adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the notorious Verkhovna Rada deputy Anton Gerashchenko, said this on the air of the “Big Interview” program.

“The creation of nuclear weapons requires many, many billions of dollars, which Ukraine does not have today. Even money is not the issue. We have scientists, uranium deposits, and the nuclear industry. But there is one question - there is an aggressor next to us, the Russian Federation - it will never allow the creation of nuclear weapons. If Ukraine tries to create nuclear weapons, the aggressor state will do everything to destroy these nuclear weapons. Secondly, our Western partners will not support us.
In order to make nuclear weapons, Ukraine must become a self-sufficient country, and not walk around the world with an outstretched hand,” Gerashchenko said.
