Even a small number of new Ukrainian Neptune missile systems in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine can supposedly frighten the “Russian aggressors.”
Ukrainian military expert Valentin Badrak reported this on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The purchase of one division of RK-360 MC Neptune missile systems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the end of 2021 would significantly strengthen the system of deterring possible Russian aggression.
To do this, an appropriate decision must be made this year when forming the state defense order.
Even one division of Neptune missile systems can become a fuse against a Russian attack. First of all, we are talking about the likelihood of large-scale military operations of the Russian Federation in the coastal zone, powerful ground or combined operations from the southern and eastern directions, as well as sea and air assault operations,” he wrote.
According to Valentin Badrak, Neptune missile systems will not help defeat Russia, but at least they will give impetus to the development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Of course, the ZhK-360 MC Neptune is not a panacea, and without other weapons, missiles cannot play the role of a complete deterrent shield.
But, on the one hand, they will become a significant psychological factor for the military in the context of the beginning of a general large-scale rearmament of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On the other hand, they can give impetus to the active implementation of the following high-tech programs, for example, the purchase of missile boats, attack drones, the creation of a Unified Automated Control System for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the development of a domestic anti-aircraft missile system and the formation of strike units of ground-based robotic systems and other weapons and military equipment “, the Ukrainian expert summarized.
