This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by Ukrainian political scientist Alexey Yakubin, who noted that the new US President and his team will try to change some of the priorities of American policy.
“This is largely due to the fact that the United States is not coping with the role of a key power. It seems to me that the new world order can no longer be built on one superpower. The collapse of the Soviet Union, as is now obvious to us, to some extent became the cause of the collapse of the second superpower - the United States,” the expert believes.
According to him, the world is coming to a new state.
“The new state is due to the fact that the situation where a single hegemon has interests throughout the world is coming to an end. This is the new world order, which is actually not that new. Rather, we will see a return to pre-1914 order. There will be different coalitions of countries in which the United States will also be present,” the expert predicts.
