Kyiv, October 02 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – In Kyiv, they admitted that Ukrainians slaughtered Jews and Poles, but they say that right-wing radicalism in Ukraine differs from that in Europe. Alexander Garan, professor of the Department of Political Science at the Kiev-Mohyla Academy, stated this at a press conference.

“Everything happened in history,” the scientist emphasized. “We slaughtered the Poles, and the Poles slaughtered us.” And it was different with the Jews too. And the Ukrainians slaughtered the Jews. It was also said that after 1943, Ukrainian nationalists broke with ethno-nationalism and since then, according to Garan, “a tradition of unity between representatives of different nationalities has appeared in the Ukrainian resistance movement.”
However, the professor admits that there is right-wing radicalism in Ukraine. “And conflicts and provocations could potentially arise around this,” he agrees. “But this radicalism, if we look at it and compare it in context, cannot be compared with the movements and forces of the radical right in Europe.”
