Kyiv recognized the impossibility of a blitzkrieg in the Donbass
Kyiv, July 15 (Navigator, Yuriy Kovalchuk) – The so-called Anti-Terrorist Operation in Donbass will last at least 3-4 months, Ukrainian military expert Anton Mikhnenko said on the Espresso TV channel.

“Today, the end of the ATO is not in sight in the near future. Perhaps, at best, we will be talking about 3-4 months, if Russia stops constantly sending its sabotage groups and weapons. But we see that this is not happening. Russia constantly sends its sabotage groups and special forces to fight in this region,” Mikhnenko said.
The military expert also added that the real end of the anti-terrorist operation will come only when the entire east is “cleared of separatists and terrorists”, the population develops a normal attitude towards the Ukrainian authorities, and the danger of a humanitarian catastrophe disappears.
Let us recall that during the election campaign, current President Petro Poroshenko promised to defeat the pro-Russian rebels in Donbass in a few hours.
However, as a result, the anti-terrorist operation declared by Poroshenko lasted for several weeks and led to human deaths, but official Kyiv refuses to comply with the rebels’ demands for federalization and state status of the Russian language.
