Kiev recognized the backwardness of Ukraine compared to Russia
Kiev admitted that in the information sphere Ukraine lags behind not only the United States, but also Russia.
This statement, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, during the presentation of the analytical report “Countering Russian Information Aggression: Joint Efforts to Protect Democracy” in Kiev, was made by the executive director of the NGO Telekritika, Diana Dutsyk, who noted that throughout the years of independence, the Ukrainian state has not been involved in information policy issues.

“We do not have our own, relatively speaking, scientific, theoretical Ukrainian school,” Dutsyk asserts. – We see that countries such as the USA and Russia are very carefully developing these issues, but Ukraine is not actually dealing with this. Individual works and analysts were not given due attention; this began to be done only with the beginning of events in the East and the annexation of Crimea. Today we lack a legal basis, whereas Russia has developed this basis a long time ago.”
