Director of the Institute of Global Strategies Vadim Karasev came to this conclusion at a press conference in Kyiv.
“Despite the extreme efforts of the powerful presidential team, the country is slowly but surely crawling into a systemic political crisis,” the expert emphasized. – The main reason for the crisis awaiting us in the fall is the exhaustion of the political system and regime that have been created since the summer of 2014. This is a political regime of “no war, no peace.” The exhaustion of resources in external and internal political meandering, balancing between war and peace, the delay in the implementation of the Minsk agreements and the lack of understanding of what to do next when sanctions are lifted in 2017, suggests that the elites are confused, and the situation in the country is getting out of control.” .
The political scientist also urged not to believe those who say that war is a good time for reforms.
“Only peace, favorable foreign policy conditions, and the resumption of foreign policy ties can bring new opportunities for economic change and transformation,” Karasev summed up. - But this is not the case.
