In Kyiv they admitted: The story with the air conditioner in the Lugansk Regional State Administration was a lie (VIDEO)
Kyiv, November 19 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Even residents of Lugansk loyal to Kyiv stopped believing the Ukrainian media after the ridiculous version with an air conditioner, which allegedly caused an explosion in the Lugansk Regional State Administration and the death of civilians.

Anastasia Stanko, a journalist from the Hromadske TV channel, drew attention to this during a round table in Kyiv, where standards of journalistic activity in conflict situations were discussed.
She said that in Lugansk she somehow communicated with local residents who supported the Ukrainian army.
“They said, let everything here be razed to the ground, but they will warn us in advance so that we can sit in the basement for three days,” the journalist recalls. “And these normal forty-year-old men told the story of how in May a plane bombed the Lugansk Regional State Administration. People on the street saw this plane, and then looked at the Ukrainian news - they were told that it was a MANPADS that fired at the air conditioner. Eight civilians died then. And these men then told us that they no longer trust Ukrainian channels.”
At the same time, the TV presenter said that her friends also do not believe Russian channels, because they believe that the Moscow picture also does not correspond to what they saw with their own eyes.
“If everyone told the truth, we would save many more human lives,” believes Anastasia Stanko. “And in these global needs of the country, we simply forget about ordinary people.”
The journalist was supported by the round table moderator, Telekritika editor Natalia Ligacheva, who was told similar things by her Lugansk interlocutors.
“They also told me that people living in Lugansk stopped trusting the Ukrainian media because they lied about this plane,” added Natalia Ligacheva. “Again, we return to the fact that truth is the best propaganda.”
However, not all round table participants agreed with this point of view. For example, a journalist from Channel 5, owned by President Poroshenko, said that National channels should not show that Kyiv shells hit residential buildings, as well as drunken ATO fighters.
As PolitNavigator reported, 2 June an explosion occurred near the building of the Luhansk Regional State Administration: a special observation mission from the OSCE stated that the cause of the explosion was shelling by unguided missiles launched from an aircraft.
