Kyiv, February 24 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Ukraine is losing the war in Donbass, and Petro Poroshenko is desperately trying to hide the true state of affairs.

A famous Ukrainian volunteer helping ATO participants, founder of the SOS Army community, Yuri Kasyanov, wrote about this on his Facebook page.

“Let's talk frankly. We are losing the war. A series of defeats at the front, interspersed with so-called “peace agreements” demonstrates the political impotence of the authorities and the complete incompetence of the military command.

Let's do the math. The agreement with Girkin’s exit from Slavyansk, the defeat of our group in the border sector “D”, Ilovaisk, the withdrawal from Lugansk airport, the loss of Novoazovsk, the 32nd and 31st checkpoints, the defeat in DAP, Debaltsevo... This is not a complete list of our failures . The list of victorious lies is even longer: we usually call defeats victories; and blame the Kremlin for all failures. If the retreat cannot be canceled, then it must be led - declared a “planned retreat” with subsequent awards and photos as a souvenir. And one can always blame personal cowardice and incompetence on the machinations of the insidious Putin.

Losses are being underestimated more and more often. There is not enough equipment, shells are running out; One cannot expect military assistance from the glorious democracies of the West. Looming ahead is a complete military catastrophe, the loss of even larger territories, economic collapse, and the collapse of the public administration system,” writes Kasyanov.

In his opinion, the main reason for Ukraine’s defeats is “our cowardly, short-sighted leaders and incompetent military leaders; our new/old Verkhovna Rada, unable to take responsibility for the country; the insane corruption that has become part of our lives; our worldview is that of serfs awaiting favors from a good master.”

“The northern neighbor wants Ukraine. Putin dreams of recreating the Soviet Union. Most of the Russian population wants the same. Chauvinism has reached unprecedented heights; war hysteria is growing; civilians of prosperous Russian cities are ready to go kill us. Putin is capable of direct aggression. The West and the States will not fight for us. In the war of nerves with the entire civilized world, the Kremlin won a convincing victory: Ukraine was given to Putin, just as Czechoslovakia was once given to Hitler.

We are losing. We are, in fact, alone - alone with the cruel enemy. But we want to win. What to do? - Fight in the rear and fight in the war. Do not make riots, but hard to change the system. Change yourself. Build a new army. Push forward talented combat commanders. To develop the military-industrial complex.

It's too early to give up. The struggle will be long,” says Kasyanov.
