In Kyiv, Ukrainians were recognized as an endangered species
Ukraine is a unique case in the 21st century in terms of the scale of population extinction.
Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the channel of Kyiv propagandist Alexander Shelest, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If someone says that we have a population of 30 million (let me remind you, at the dawn of independence there were 52), then he is telling a lie. Even taking into account the fact that the population is still older and the age ratio has changed, still a threefold drop in the birth rate cannot be correlated with the fact that, according to official statistics, the population has fallen by 40%. Therefore lies, lies and statistics.
Even these figures show that the productive population in the country is two and a half times smaller, taking into account the fact that society now aims to have fewer children. And the population can hardly exceed half of what it was in 1991. Even taking into account the increased number of old people,” Bortnik said.
He added that Ukrainians are rapidly dying out.
“There are three times fewer births than at the dawn of independence. We are becoming an endangered species, our people are becoming an endangered species. I think that perhaps only a few individuals died out so quickly... it’s even difficult to imagine which peoples died out just as quickly in the 21st century. There are probably no examples of this. Maybe in the twentieth century, when there were genocides, Holocausts, famines, all this took place. In the 21st century, we are simply a unique case with a huge minus sign,” the political scientist stated.
