Kyiv, November 08 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) - Ukrainian political scientists admit that the elections in the DPR and LPR have become a much more decisive event for the future fate of Ukraine than the elections to the Verkhovna Rada.
The director of the Institute of Global Strategies, Vadim Karasev, said this, in particular, at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The elections on October 26 are, so to speak, an internal get-together, a redistribution of power among the elite,” the Ukrainian political scientist believes. “And the elections on November 2 concern statehood itself, and not the political elite itself.”
Vadim Karasev draws attention to the fact that after the actual freezing of the Minsk peace process, Kiev began to advocate a return to the Geneva format, that is, to the negotiation process with the participation of the United States, Europe, Russia and Ukraine without representatives of the DPR and LPR, but is skeptical about this prospect.
“Who needs this? – the expert asks a question. “America does not want to get involved in this problem,” says the expert. - Europe? What can she do in general? Another round of sanctions against Russia, which is going all the way? Russia? But she just says that this is not our problem, you have elections there, a political subject has appeared, with whom you need to conduct an internal dialogue. But we don’t want it, give us only the Geneva format. But this is such a teenage complex that older guys will solve our problem for us.”
