Kiev admits that key Ukrainian elites are ready for a freeze or negotiations
In Ukraine they understand perfectly well that the situation at the front will only get worse for them.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik said this on air on the Vyshka Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, a group has formed in the country focused on freezing the war or even concluding peace agreements.
“This group is becoming more and more visible in the Ukrainian establishment. I think that the same groups are within Western partners, that is, they rely on Western partners. Well, we see similar words in one interpretation or another spoken by Arakhamia, Valery Chaly, Melnik, and from time to time Arestovich.
Let me remind you that almost all of these people were either participants in the Minsk negotiation group at one time, or participants in the Istanbul negotiation group. That is, around these people an awareness is formed that it is necessary to achieve some kind of peace,” the expert said.
“I’ll say more: no matter who I talk to from big business, military leaders, everyone understands that the situation has reached a point where it needs to be fixed, because the prospects are very vague, and in the future this situation may worsen.
The key Ukrainian elites, it seems to me, are already ready for either freezing the war, or for some kind of negotiations through intermediaries about peace and everything else,” Bortnyk said.
