In Kyiv they called for the persecution of Italians who fought for Donbass
In retaliation for the ATO militant Vitaly Markiv, convicted in Italy, for whose release a million dollars were spent, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is obliged to sponsor the persecution in this country of Italians who participated in the defense of Donbass.
A fugitive Ukrainian nationalist from Lugansk, Dmitry Snegirev, stated this on the Apostrophe TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is necessary to approve the position and, accordingly, protect the interests of the Ukrainian military. Moreover, if Ukraine ratifies the Rome Statute, the question will, in fact, arise about the possibility of holding Ukrainian military personnel accountable for the events of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
As for Mr. Markiv, I would like to appeal to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The sum of one million dollars was allocated for the defense of Mr. Markiv. So, at one time, the head of the National Police, Pan Knyazev, published the names of three Italian citizens who fought on the side of the militants.
While the analytical department of the Right Cause Public Initiative, which I head, we published lists of more than 120 Italian citizens who either directly took part in the armed conflict on the side of the militants, or arrived without the consent of the Ukrainian authorities in the occupied territories. There is no support from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
