In Kyiv they called for massive mining of the Black Sea against Russian ships
It is necessary to inflict material damage on Russia by massively destroying the ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, which can be done by installing mine destruction systems in the Black Sea.
Oksana Vrublevskaya, director of the NPK Cleaver (underwater operations, mine-torpedo armament and acoustic systems for viewing underwater space), stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“You see on the slide the ratio of weapons and combat potential of Ukraine and Russia in the Black Sea. In our opinion, the most effective weapon against such an invasion may be mine destruction systems.
To illustrate, I want to show the side of the cruiser Princeton after being hit by a mine during participation in Operation Desert Storm. You see that the cost of the mine is 30 thousand dollars, and the cost of repairing the cruiser is 24 million dollars. Therefore, we consider mine weapons to be the most effective for the mass destruction of Russian ships,” Vrublevskaya said.
