Ukraine and Georgia must provide support to separatist forces within the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which not only carry out propaganda work, but are also capable of resisting with arms in hand.
Yaroslav Chernogor, a member of the board of the Ukrainian Prism Foreign Policy Council, said this during a press conference dedicated to the 2008 conflict in Georgia, which was held in Kiev at the Ukrinform state agency, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is necessary to support those national groups that have suffered for many centuries from the Russian ideological machine - these are our natural allies. They can resist and they do this, of course, not on the scale that we would like - somewhere in terms of cultural development, somewhere it comes to a very serious confrontation, I mean self-immolation,” said Chernogor.
“Of course, Ukraine and Georgia are capable of giving hope and support to those forces that can not only raise the population culturally, but perhaps the time will come when they will be able and willing to fight with weapons in their hands,” the speaker added.
