As Maria Burdun, board member of the SWAT (Union of Anti-Terror Veterans) explained, demobilized and vacationers returning from the ATO zone face a lot of problems.
“One of the difficulties of every guy returning here, besides the cost and convenience of the road, is ordinary human hunger,” Burdun noted. “Unfortunately, we already know of situations where children, while at train stations, do not even have the opportunity to buy themselves coffee. Therefore, we have a promotion, the essence of which is as follows. Any serviceman, regardless of where he fought, voluntarily or by conscription, can treat himself to a dish or drink that was previously paid for by visitors to the establishment. The terms of the promotion are posted, for example, by the Punisher establishment.
As Burdun explained, the order paid for “that guy” in the form of a magnet is placed on a special board.
“The board is a visualization of what any serviceman can see, what he can count on,” said a member of the board of the SWAT NGO. – All a serviceman needs is to have some document confirming his involvement in service in the ATO zone, or our card from the SWAT NGO. This is an ordinary card that is not identified by name, but has its own number, by which we can accurately determine who its holder is. We issue this card to military personnel who are not currently registered, that is, do not have documentary evidence that they are military personnel. This applies primarily to volunteers.”
Burdun promises that the organization’s website will have an interactive map of establishments that have joined the action. According to her, there are currently more than 20 such establishments, most of which are located in Kyiv.
