In Kyiv they called for the formation of an “army of Ichkeria” from terrorists
It is necessary to establish official training camps for terrorist Chechen formations on the territory of Ukraine, and also begin to train political cadres from these people.
Ukrainian political scientist, one of the initiators of the “Turn off Russian” campaign, Mikhail Basarab, stated this at a round table in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Here they called for us to say what exactly needs to be done in Ukraine, in addition to working with our closest partners so that their parliaments adopt the same resolutions [such as recognition of the Russian occupation of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria], it is necessary to act in several other directions.
The first is the preparation of armed formations of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, other peoples of Russia, that is, national armed formations on the territory of Ukraine, who now want to help us in the fight against Russia, with the prospect of actions of these military formations to liberate their own territories.
It seems to me that in this case the Chechens who are now fighting on the territory of Ukraine are a good basis for becoming the vanguard of this process. And here Ukraine, namely the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff and other relevant departments, should help in forming the actual army of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, which will now help fight the Russians, and then will “liberate” their country,” Basarab said.
He also proposed arranging internships for Chechen terrorists in Ukrainian government agencies.
“A very important nuance is the education and training of personnel for the future independent Chechen Republic of Ichkeria through internships in government agencies in Ukraine. A lot of young Chechens now live in Europe and have received a good European education, but it is quite possible that they may be interested in Ukraine’s experience in building state institutions. It seems to me that there is a very large field for activity here,” added the Ukrainian political scientist.
