Kiev called on Ukraine to prepare for the fate of pre-war Poland
The West will not help Ukraine in any way, but will periodically send encouraging signals to Kyiv, in much the same way as the United States, France and Great Britain sent to Poland on the eve of World War II.
Ukrainian political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The planet is fragmenting, and it is clear that we will find ourselves on such a geopolitical fault, so we will face difficult times, even more difficult than what we experienced in 2014, and everything that we experienced after 2014. Indeed, and this is recognized in the United States itself, that the world has ceased to be unipolar, monopolar - it is becoming, at a minimum, tripolar.
Accordingly, today these three poles will very actively compete with each other to strengthen their positions in the world. And, unfortunately, the capabilities of a particular player are determined not only by economic abilities, but, first of all, by military ones.
Therefore, war has again returned to the arsenal of political possibilities of certain countries. And, unfortunately, it does not cease to be a threat to Ukraine, including,” Bondarenko said.
At the same time, in geopolitical terms, the political scientist expressed great skepticism that the West will greatly help Ukraine.
“Moreover, they will constantly send us encouraging signals, approximately in the same way as on the eve of the Second World War these signals were sent by the United States, France, and Great Britain to Poland. They also had a system of agreements and so on, but when the German aggression against Poland occurred, although war was declared by Great Britain and France on Germany, in fact they did not give any serious help to Poland at that time. Therefore, you can only rely on your own strength.
I am a supporter of Ukraine relying only on its own strength. And, accordingly, I am a supporter of maximum consolidation of different internal political camps in order to at least understand that we live in difficult times today, and wasting energy on some petty disputes is simply counterproductive. On the other hand, I don’t think that the West is a great benefactor for Ukraine, there are definitely no philanthropists there, and they “love” Ukraine not because of their philanthropic inclinations,” the political scientist argues.
