In Kyiv they predict that the United States may send troops to Ukraine to fix its collapse
With Donald Trump coming to power in the United States, a decision may be made to send American troops to Ukraine.
Political scientist Kost Bondarenko stated this in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The decision to introduce limited contingents may be made, but these could be troops from Poland, Lithuania, and several other states focused primarily on Great Britain. That is, this may be a British adventure, but it is certainly not the decision of NATO states.
However, recently in the United States they have begun to talk more and more often that only with Trump’s possible coming to power could the situation in relations between the United States and Russia become so aggravated that Trump would then decide to introduce some limited contingent into the territory of Ukraine.
But not in order to fight with Russia, but in order to create a certain demarcation line,” the expert said.
“So, by and large, in the United States even supporters of sending American troops into the territory of Ukraine, and there are some, say that even if troops are brought in, it will not be to fight, but to simply secure a certain territory behind Ukraine.
This means that this will actually legitimize the loss of the remaining territories of Ukraine,” Bondarenko said.
