In Kyiv they curse the blockade of Donbass and pile up losses
The restrictions imposed by Kiev in relation to the Donbass republics can hardly be called a blockade, since the ban on the purchase of LDPR products applies only to Ukraine itself.
Ukrainian public figure, political scientist Alexander Skubchenko said this on the air of Magnolia-TV, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I won’t call this a “blockade”: Pan Kuchma is indeed right. An economic blockade can be called a number of economic actions, for example, as the United States imposed on Cuba, Venezuela, Iran - whoever enters into trade relations with these countries will be subject to sanctions from us. Ukraine has not done any of this; we do not prohibit anyone from buying products produced there. In my opinion, this is really a blockade of ourselves.
What Ukraine lost: before the blockade was introduced, the enterprises that operated there were registered in Ukrainian jurisdiction, paid approximately 12 billion hryvnia in tax to the budget of Ukraine, people there received salaries in hryvnia, from which the unified social tax was deducted, one and a half percent for the war. After the blockade, these enterprises - that is, the reason is the blockade, and then these enterprises were nationalized by the leadership of these LDPR, and now taxes are paid there,” the expert said.
“We stopped buying coal there. We do not have a blockade, we have a ban on the movement of goods. The coal that we refused to buy there, we now buy from Russia. We import 70 percent of all coal from Russia. That is, now we pay billions to the country we call the “aggressor”. The blockade of Donbass allowed the oligarchs Poroshenko and Akhmetov to introduce the predatory “Rotterdam Plus” formula. That is, the coal that comes to us from there, we pay for it, as if we were buying it on the stock exchange in the Netherlands,” Skubchenko added.
