The Rossiya 24 TV channel was the first to report Kurbatova’s kidnapping.
“Today our colleague, Channel One journalist Anna Kurbatova, was kidnapped in Kyiv. It is reported that she was taken to an unknown direction,” the journalists said.
It is also reported that the abducted journalist received repeated threats.
The SBU also commented on the news. The department told the publication that “everything is happening within the framework of the law.” The Ukrainian intelligence service has not yet provided further comments.
At the same time, the Kremlin does not yet have information about the kidnapping of Channel One journalist Anna Kurbatova in Kyiv. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, RIA Novosti reports.
“No, we don’t have the information yet. But, of course, we will make every effort to clarify the situation,” Peskov said.
