A student has disappeared in Kyiv after accusing a high-ranking official from the National Police of harassment.
The dean of the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute wrote a statement to the police about the disappearance of student Natalia Bureiko, who accused a high official of the National Police of harassment, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press secretary of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv, Oksana Blyshchik.
“The Solomyansky district police department received a letter from the dean’s office of the KPI stating that the student was not attending classes,” she said.
The police have launched an investigation into this complaint. At the same time, Blyshchik added that the police did not receive any statements from the student’s parents or her friends about her disappearance.
As reported, on November 8, KPI student Natalia Bureiko apologized and deleted previous notes accusing National Police officer Alexander Varchenko of harassment.
At the same time, the student asked the journalists to stop bothering her and added that “there will be no further comments.”
The National Police announced on November 8 that law enforcement officers began an investigation into Varchenko’s accusations of harassment of a student.
Let us recall that as PolitNavigator previously reported, Bureiko reported on Facebook that the deputy head of the Department of Economic Protection of the National Police of Ukraine, Alexander Varchenko, harassed her. Varchenko himself denies these accusations.
