The protesters demanded that depositors of credit unions and OLBank be paid their savings and that criminal proceedings on financial fraud be properly investigated.
The picketers also demanded that the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arseniy Avakov, “cleanse the Dneprovskoe Regional Directorate of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kiev from police “werewolves in uniform.”
“Ukraine is such a mess because the authorities came not to rule the state, but to steal. Therefore, they do not listen to the people of Ukraine, citizens,” said the head of the Association for the Protection of the Rights of Depositors, Vladimir Zavaliy.
