Searches took place in Kyiv as part of the Poroshenko case
Searches in the Kiev club “5 Element”, which is associated with ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, and at several other addresses were carried out as part of two criminal proceedings against Poroshenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation in response to a request from the Kyiv edition of UNN.
When asked by a journalist whether searches were really carried out at the “5th Element” club, the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation said: “Yes,” and also added that they were being carried out within the framework of “Poroshenko’s affairs.”
“Searchs are being conducted by SBI investigators under the operational support of the SBU as part of the pre-trial investigation of two criminal proceedings. The first concerns the purchase and sale transaction of the “Forge on Rybatsky” plant, and the second, which concerns the possible disappearance of storage media from the so-called situational room in the Presidential Administration. Actually, as part of the investigation of two criminal proceedings, authorized searches were carried out today,” the State Bureau of Investigation noted.
When asked to clarify whether searches were being carried out at the “5 Element” club or somewhere else, the press service said: “At several addresses.”
Let us remind you that in September the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv arrested the Kuznitsa na Rybatsky plant, which previously belonged to the fifth president, Petro Poroshenko, as part of the proceedings for its purchase and sale. And in November, the court lifted the arrest.
The SBI is investigating 13 cases involving the fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, including the case of the possible loss of material carriers of classified information containing state secrets (situation room).
