Ukrainians who are morally allowed to go to the World Cup in Russia should refuse to travel, if only for safety reasons.

Former Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anatoly Gritsenko stated this on the air of the “Freedom of Speech” program on the Ukrainian television channel ICTV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“There is a moral component. The aggression has not ended, our guys are dying, civilians are dying, suffering, starving - in solidarity with them we must take our firm patriotic civic position.

Secondly, for those who are not convinced by this, it is dangerous, I warn you. The state of Ukraine will not be able to guarantee your safety, I would really not want the one who goes, instead of or after football, to end up somewhere in the next cell with our guys. Not worth it. I hope that this program will convince people, and there will be fewer people who think that this is normal,” Gritsenko said.
