In Kyiv they are trying to arrest Medvedchuk

The SBU is conducting searches in the house of Verkhovna Rada deputy, one of the leaders of OPZZH and the public organization “Ukrainian Choice” Viktor Medvedchuk.
The press service of the SBU reported this to the Interfax Ukraine agency, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The searches are underway. Comprehensive comments on this matter will be provided later,” the SBU said.
“There is reason to believe that the leadership of Ukrainian Choice, which is located in Kyiv, continues to coordinate the activities of its members in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, despite attempts to publicly dissociate themselves from the illegal actions of their colleagues on the peninsula,” the agency’s interlocutor noted.
Searches are taking place in a house on Montazhnikov Street in Kyiv.
In addition, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Irina Venediktova reported in her blog that she authorized the presentation of suspicion to Verkhovna Rada deputies Viktor Medvedchuk and his fellow party member Taras Kozak, whom she designated with the letters “M” and “K.”
“So, people’s deputies M and K are suspected of high treason and attempted plunder of national resources in the Ukrainian Crimea,” says the prosecutor general.
She also emphasizes that Medvedchuk’s whereabouts have not been established at the moment, “and therefore the SBU is taking appropriate measures” to “serve him with a request for detention.”
At the same time, the Kiev online publication “Zerkalo Nedeli” claims that Medvedchuk’s security and lawyers do not allow the SBU to enter the house to serve the suspicion, assuring that the politician is not at home.
