In Kyiv they are trying to find new owners of the Crimean Titan
In Ukraine, they cannot find out the new owners of the Crimean Titan plant, located in Armyansk.
Previously, the head of the republic Sergei Aksenov stated that in August the company changed owner and plans to resolve the situation with the plant’s colossal debts.
As reported on the US State Department-funded radio station “Crimea. Realii”, head of the Center for Investigative Journalism Valentina Samar, neither the Ukrainian nor the Russian registers contain data on the change of ownership, so it probably occurred in an offshore zone, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“At the moment we cannot say that there is documentary evidence of Mr. Aksenov’s words. Let's start with the fact that we need to remind you that “Crimean Titan,” as we call this enterprise in the old way, exists in two jurisdictions at the same time. After the occupation of Crimea by Russia, de facto Russian legislation applies to the peninsula; all enterprises had to re-register under Russian legislation. At the same time, they remained in the Ukrainian registers...
I have not yet seen a change of ownership in either the Ukrainian or Russian registries. Perhaps it happened somewhere offshore or in the jurisdiction of other states for the reason that we know that the owner is a Cypriot company. Perhaps somewhere there... There is no data on a change of ownership at the moment,” Samar said.
