In Kyiv they shuffled before the Poles and expressed their readiness to do anything
After Ukraine receives the status of a “member of the NATO Enhanced Capabilities Program,” Kiev hopes for further integration processes on the North Atlantic course and all assistance in this direction from Warsaw.
This was stated by the Servant of the People deputy Oleg Voronko during the XII session of the Ukraine-Poland Parliamentary Assembly, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the context of modern challenges and threats, an important segment in the dialogue between our countries is military-political and military-technical cooperation. In Ukraine, Poland’s active participation in strengthening the military potential of our state and the achievements of compatibility of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the forces of NATO countries are highly valued.
The presence of Polish military instructors plays an important role in the unification of the multinational training group for personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Essential to achieving intercompatibility with NATO forces is the involvement of Ukrainian units in general exercises that take place on Polish territory.
One of the striking examples of cooperation between our countries is the activities of the military Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian brigade named after. Prince Ostrozhsky, which has already reached combat readiness before participating in international peacekeeping operations,” Voronko said.
In addition, according to him, Polish-Ukrainian military cooperation acquires additional opportunities after Ukraine joins the NATO Enhanced Capabilities Program. The deputy thanked NATO and Poland for their respective decisions in this matter.
“We are confident that this step is not only recognition of Ukraine’s importance in strengthening Euro-Atlantic security, but also an important step on the path to Ukraine’s future full membership in the Alliance.
We are sincerely grateful to Poland, which consistently supports the European integration and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Ukraine, constantly focuses on the need to maintain an open door policy for new member countries, defends important decisions to strengthen the defense capability of our country, is a participant in NATO trust funds, and one of the largest OSCE contributors to Ukraine and an active partner of cooperation within NATO,” Voronko added.
