In Kyiv they told how to brainwash fellow citizens
Ukraine needs to develop among the population the ability to resist unwanted media.
Internews-Ukraine NGO analyst Vitaly Rybak stated this during the Donbass Media Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It seems to me that Medvedchuk’s channels and other channels need to be given the opportunity to say something, but at the same time it is very important to tell the population why this is disinformation, why it is not true and how to reveal this truth. And here it seems to me that both the state and society should work together, play the long game, develop media literacy in society, introduce media literacy classes in schools and universities,” the expert said.
“But it's a very long game. These people must learn, remember, grow and then start voting. We may lose the country by the time they grow up and start voting,” said the panel moderator, advisor on hybrid threats to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Lyubov Tsybulskaya.
“This is about the long term,” Rybak objected. “In short, it is natural to try through all other available channels to disseminate explanations regarding these narratives, refute misinformation and tell, explain in simple words what it really is.”
“For example, the same land form, about the land market, briefly, in simple words, maybe even in emotional terms. Explain that in reality this is not a loss or theft of land, but, on the contrary, an increase in price and an opportunity for villagers to use it as they should, without restrictions from the state,” the analyst explained.
