Former Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andrei Zagorodnyuk stated this on Radio Liberty, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They [Western analysts] have always underestimated us because they did not understand how much better the Ukrainian Armed Forces have become since 2014. It seems to me that in 2021 there was even some kind of big information operation.
Because suddenly, even before the information about the attack, a large number of articles appeared that assessed the situation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine quite biasedly,” Zagorodnyuk noted.
The ex-minister noted that in 2021, many Western analysts unleashed a barrage of criticism against the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and this had an effect on the beginning of the Military Military District.
“For example, there was an article in June 2021, on one of the respected analytical centers, a forty-page report that simply destroyed the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they wrote that everything was bad. Forty pages of negativity, a huge number of factual errors. And she had her effect.
And such assessments were made even before large-scale preparations became known in October (Russia to the Northeast Military District - approx.),” said the ex-minister.
