The head of the State Migration Service of Ukraine, Maxim Sokolyuk, stated this during the annual final board meeting of the department.
“2017 was not an easy year for the service... In June, we were the first to experience the receipt of a visa-free regime - in the form of a sharp surge in the population’s demand for foreign passports,” Sokolyuk noted.
The head of State Migration reminded that the printing plant “Ukraine” began using the necessary equipment for the production of foreign passports in mid-January.
“The queue for the production of foreign passports should be eliminated by the beginning of April 2018,” Sokolyuk emphasized.
