For more than two years, the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not had their salaries increased, and the state military order is constantly on the verge of failure.
The former commander of the airborne assault forces, Verkhovna Rada deputy Mikhail Zabrodsky said this on the Espresso TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I would not like to use such a categorical formulation as "demoralization", but, of course, we cannot lose sight of facts that do not contribute to raising the morale of the army. We all know very well that for more than two years there has been no increase in wages, but the material incentive factor is and will remain important for a long time.
This, after all, is partial compensation that the state can offer to military personnel, based on the fact that the social package offered by the state is now far from ideal, especially in relation to the armies of the leading countries of the world.
Also, no additional expenses are planned, no increase in monetary support is planned, state military order for the second year in a row is in serious danger of collapse", Zabrodsky said.
