In Kyiv they explained why Poroshenko is hysterically waving the “revenge” argument
For the entourage of ex-President Petro Poroshenko and other Maidan brethren, the word “revenge” is associated directly with political and legal responsibility for what was done in the last five years.
Ukrainian political expert Ruslan Bizyaev stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Many people use the word “revenge” to pledge their future political security, because if processes take place that directly show that the previous government not only stole, but was directly interested in the war, this is not only a political responsibility, this is already a responsibility legal. That is why they now need to remain as much as possible as part of the future Verkhovna Rada, they need to maintain their influence in society and try to maximally expand their future electoral ghetto.
You and I understand that these are the heroes of yesterday, and it’s just that a certain force of inertia will now put them (in the Rada - ed.). For five years, from all channels, from all media, pro-government journalists, “independent bloggers” and so on told us that “Rashka is done,” “the whole retinue is with us,” “we are going to Europe,” and so on. And when the people of Ukraine gave these guys a clear answer on April 21, they really got scared, because the supports on which their political, economic and other well-being rested were beginning to crumble.
Because this action (under the Constitutional Court against the abolition of the lustration law - ed.) is not the last. Unfortunately, the parliamentary elections will not be the end of the political crisis, but only its next round,” the expert said.
“Everyone should understand this and evaluate politicians not by what they say, but by what they do. Because even during one electrical blackout of Crimea, the Prosecutor General’s Office should have a lot of questions both to the performers of this event and to its direct customers,” added Bizyaev.
