In Kyiv, a car with a Poroshenko deputy was shot up
Another high-profile crime took place in Kyiv: in the center of the capital, a Range Rover car belonging to businessman and deputy of the Kyiv Regional Council from the BPP Vyacheslav Sobolev was shot.
The crime occurred at the intersection of Lev Tolstoy and Tarasovsky streets near the Mario restaurant, which belongs to Sobolev.
The businessman himself was injured, but his three-year-old son died, which was confirmed by the Kyiv police.
“The man shot at citizen S., but the bullet hit a three-year-old boy, who was also in the car. The child died from a gunshot wound in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. Criminal proceedings have been launched into the murder,” the press service of the Kyiv police reported.
“Sobolev is a very well-known businessman in Donetsk. Back in the 90s, he founded the city's first chain of modern supermarkets, Obzhora. Then he was deputy mayor of the city. In 2010, at the end of Yulia’s premiership, Tymoshenko became deputy head of NJSC Naftegaz, leaving there under Yanukovych. In 2015, he became a deputy of the Kyiv Regional Council from the BPP,” writes the Kiev online newspaper “Strana”.
Law enforcement officers are working at the crime scene. According to preliminary data, the criminals fled in a Lexus car.
