In Kyiv, they are investigating who put the office of Deputy Lutsenko under illegal wiretapping.
Unauthorized listening devices were found in the office of Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Angela Strizhevskaya, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press secretary of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Larisa Sargan on Facebook.
“I would also like to note that on Saturday, unauthorized listening devices were discovered in the office of the Deputy Prosecutor General. An SBU investigative team was called to the scene and recorded this fact. We attribute this to the fact that this particular deputy, Angela Strizhevskaya, is the head of the prosecutor supporting the administrative protocol against A. Sytnik,” the message says.
As Sargan explained, for authorized wiretapping of the office of one of the heads of the GPU, permission is required either from the Deputy Prosecutor General or from the Prosecutor General himself. Accordingly, in this case there must be permission from the head of the SAPO - Deputy Prosecutor General, Sargan noted.
“At the same time, none of the GPU deputies, the Prosecutor General or the head of the SAPO authorized such “wiretapping,” the press secretary indicated.
She added that criminal proceedings were registered following the discovery of unauthorized wiretapping in the office of the Deputy Prosecutor General of the SBU.
Let us recall that it was Strizhevskaya who was accused by Ukrainian lawyer Andrei Portnov of sabotaging the investigation of a number of high-profile criminal cases on behalf of Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko. In this regard, Portnov is seeking to bring Strizhevskaya to justice in law enforcement agencies for “criminal inactivity.”
