Another Poroshenko fake was exposed in Kyiv
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko again deceived his people by declaring that the Ecumenical Patriarch had decided to grant autocephaly to Ukrainian schismatics and would no longer consult with Moscow.
Political scientist Kost Bondarenko said this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, no decision was actually made, and all the information came from one of the bishops of Constantinople.
“For several days, information has been spreading that a decision has been made in Constantinople to grant autocephaly and so on. No decisions were made. Moreover, the president is now proclaiming that a decision has been made that Constantinople has the right to make decisions alone, without consultation. There was no such thing - there was a speech by one of the bishops at the synopsis in Constantinople, which does not have a binding effect, this is not some kind of decision, and so on. In reality, fakes are produced even by the top officials of the state,” Bondarenko said.
Earlier, the envoy of the Ecumenical Patriarch, Metropolitan Emmanuel of Gallia, reported that procedure started in Constantinople granting autocephaly to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate.
Also the day before, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko chalked it up to your account another “victory” - three years of behind-the-scenes work with the Ecumenical Patriarchate led to the fact that Constantinople decided to issue tomos on autocephaly without taking into account the opinion of the Russian Orthodox Church.
