The head of the Main Police Department of the Donetsk region, Vyacheslav Abroskin, spoke about this in an interview with the BBC.
“The big problem is the lack of personnel. Today it is approaching two thousand employees,” he noted.
According to him, now there are only 4,7 thousand employees in the police units of the Donetsk region, whereas before the start of the war in the East there were more than 20 police officers in the region.
“Even when I turned to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov with a proposal to accept here those people who, for some reason, have not passed recertification in other regions, not a single person has yet come to us in the Donetsk region,” - added the Donbass police commander.
More than six months have passed since that conversation, Abroskin noted.
