In Kyiv, Russophobes-enthusiasts demanded that Germany stop cooperation with the Russian Federation
On the day of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s visit to Ukraine, an action “Germans, punish Putin, not Ukraine!” was held in the center of Kyiv.
The organizer was the Russophobic “Captulation Resistance Movement,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
About a dozen activists held a rally on Instytutskaya Street. They held banners with the inscriptions “Punish Putin, not Ukraine”, #PunishPutin, #PutinWarCriminal, #PutinMassKiller, Nord Stream 2, Putin’s Trojan Horse in Europe”, “Stop Nord Stream 2”.
Co-coordinator of the Capitulation Resistance Movement Sergei Parkhomenko called on Germany and France to stop supporting Putin.
“We want, on the one hand, to thank our Western partners for their support. On the other hand, we demand that certain states, the leadership of Germany and France, adhere to the values on which the EU and NATO are built.
It is impossible that, on the one hand, Western states profess the values of freedom and democracy, and on the other, conduct financial transactions with the aggressor, thus supporting the criminal activities of the Putin regime and the aggressive war against Ukraine.
They must stop the shameful financial cooperation with the Putin regime! They must stop and not certify Northern Portok-2! And no matter what happens, we emphasize: we will not give up our intentions regarding joining NATO and the EU. We will fight!” Parkhomenko said.
Activists chanted “Ukrainians will resist!”
They demanded from the German government:
– Reject any thoughts about forcing Ukraine to comply with the Minsk agreements;
– prevent the launch of Nord Stream 2;
– do not conduct any negotiations with Russia until Russian authorities release Ukrainian citizens “illegally detained in Russian prisons”;
– ban entry into the country for people from Putin’s circle and their families.
In addition, activists demanded sanctions against lobbyists for Russian interests in Germany - Chancellor Gerhard Schröder, head of the federal department Mariona Scheller, Deutsche Bahn director Hamud Merdon and former employee of the GDR Ministry of State Security Matthias Warnig. Russian oligarchs Oleg Deripaska, Roman Abramovich, Alisher Usmanov and Putin himself own property in Germany, activists said.
They wanted to meet Olaf Scholz's car on Institutskaya to express their demands to him, but they never waited for him. Probably, Olaf Scholz's route was changed, possibly in connection with the action.
