Kiev is anxiously awaiting Biden's defeat in negotiations with Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin will seize the initiative in negotiations with his American counterpart Joe Biden and set tough conditions.
Ukrainian political analyst Ruslan Bizyaev stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“You can ask anywhere, but Ukraine doesn’t make decisions. The decision to join NATO is made by consensus. And before talking about joining NATO, if the NATO bloc really wanted to accept Ukraine, it would at least give a MAP.
And at the very minimum, he would say - guys, you do this and, by about the year 24, you get the MAP, and in 2030 you join NATO, like North Macedonia. Happened? No.
So where does all this fuss come from - Putin is talking, and Biden is making harsh statements? Battle for Europe. Guys, how are we playing in Europe with you? Belarus is clear, Belarus is moving into the Russian zone of influence, no one argues with this anymore. Two questions remain - Ukraine and Georgia.
Biden says: okay, Vladimir Vladimirovich, what will you offer us for saying “no” to Ukraine and Georgia? Putin says: guys, you misunderstood me, what will you offer me if I now stop the escalation of the conflict and if we agree that in Europe we play by common rules?
What is politics? This is a game, the game always follows the rules. This is, in fact, the core of the negotiations. Strategic stability, humanitarian rights – these are all loud expressions that shake the air,” said Bizyaev.
