Law enforcement officers systematically received hundreds of thousands of hryvnias for protecting the capital’s web studios and brothels that operated under the guise of massage parlors.
In particular, the extortionists demanded 250 thousand hryvnia from one of the illegal dealers for not interfering with his illegal activities.
Special service operatives detained the attackers while receiving part of a bribe in the amount of 148 thousand hryvnia.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Searches continue at the places of work and residence of the attackers.
